Welcome to West Hill Primary Academy!

I am delighted to be able to welcome you to our school website – this is just a small reflection of the enormous amount of fun, challenge, learning and laughter that takes place each and every day in our school.

There have been some changes recently at West Hill.  Katy Ward has recently been appointed as Head of School in 2020.  The pupils at West Hill work incredibly hard.  They are supported at every level by their parents and carers.  Our staff works tirelessly to ensure the best possible provision for our pupils and our governors oversee the strategic direction of the school, ensuring that your children are always able to learn in a safe and secure environment.

West Hill works in collaboration with Fleetdown Primary Academy, Oakfield Primary Academy and Temple Hill Primary Academy.  This enables us to get even further along our journey to ensure that each and every child has access to the widest, most exciting provision.  Every child in Dartford deserves success and we will work with you to make sure this happens for your child.

If you are a parent or carer of the school, I hope you enjoy exploring the website to see what is happening at West Hill.  If you are a visitor or you are looking at possibly requesting a place for your child at West Hill, then please use this website as your first port of call.  However, there is nothing better than exploring the school in person – parents and carers are always welcome in to our school – we are most certainly developing our open door policy.  Visitors are also welcome and I would urge you to call the school in order to make an arrangement for a tour.

I am extremely proud to work for The Galaxy Trust as the Executive Head of Fleetdown Primary Academy, Oakfield Primary Academy, Temple Hill Primary Academy and West Hill Primary Academy. I have served the Education sector for many years across Kent and London and have a great passion in making a real difference to the lives of all children. I strongly believe that all children and young people deserve the best Education and I am committed to high expectations and consistency for teaching and learning across our schools. I also believe it is important to develop children's confidence, self-esteem and resilience which will equip them with the necessary tools to overcome challenges and be ready for the next phase of their learning.

As well as being a parent to three wonderful children, I love being outdoors, spending time with my large family, travelling, coaching and being an advocate for young people.
