West Hill Primary Academy

We celebrate the past; we care about the future

SEN Team

Jane Knight

Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion)

I started teaching twelve years ago, during my career I have taught children ranging from Year One to Year Five. I have always had a keen interest in teaching and supporting children with special educational needs. As many of you know I was the SENCo at Temple Hill for a number of years before leaving in 2010. After leaving Temple Hill I went on to work as the Lead Teacher at a resourced provision for children with severe speech and language difficulties, in Deptford, South East London. During this time I was lucky enough to become a Specialist Leader of Education which enabled me to support school staff in Lewisham and across the country in order to improve the quality of provision for children with SEN. I am also a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

I am very much looking forward to a busy and challenging year ahead!

Danielle Davenport
Assistant Headteacher

I started working at Temple Hill for approximately 11 years. I completed my teacher training at Temple Hill, I have taught amazing children throughout the school from Reception to Year 6. I have spent a considerable amount of my time at Temple Hill working with children with additional needs and their families, which I absolutely love and have a real passion for improving outcomes of all children despite challenges they and their families may face.

Since the Galaxy Trust has formed I have also worked at Oakfield with a focus on vulnerable groups, I really enjoyed the experience I gained from working across our ever growing Trust.

I am now very excited to join the West Hill Inclusion team, where I hope to add to the superb work they and all the staff carry out to ensure all children have a inclusive and happy education.

When I am not working I am very busy looking after and pampering my three beautiful princesses.

Jane Lindsey

I have been a TA since 1997 previously working in Bexley. I joined West Hill in September 2007 as an SEN TA. I have HLTA status which allows me to work with a whole class, but my passion is working with the SEN children as I find this really rewarding. I have a lovely family and enjoy baking in my spare time.
